I wonder what partners discuss during courtship.
Courtship na period to shine ur eye wellwell but most girls get carried away in the euphoria of 'i am engaged' they are more concerned about outings- cinema, eateries and shopping. Those times their love don get infected with cataract- e no dey see well. It only sees Bold5, diamond rings, LV handbags. Na marriage dey do corrective surgery for dem- dat time e go come be like say dem marry stranger.

Courtship is a test trip into the future. It's a time for the intending couples to determine if they are spiritually, emotionally, and financially ready for the marriage. Most importantly, it is a time to discover if it's God's will for them to enter the holy matrimony.
The main aim during courtship is not to allow gifts, greed, emotions, and sexual intimacies becloud your view of the other person.

Now don't get me wrong, you are not on a fault finding mission neither are you searching for 'Mr/Miss perfect'. You are simply searching for what you can consider as the CORE upon which every other values which ensures a long-lasting relationship is built on.

You are not on a mission to change or convert the person to what you desire- you'll succeed in creating a pretender, who will play along just to get you to commit yourself. When the marriage proper begins, you'll see their true nature.
Usually, compromises which both parties are unwilling to make during courtship cannot be achieved during marriage. So don't expect a miracle.

Distance (where intending couples live miles apart) has an impact on courtship; this is also similar to 'arranged marriage' where couples don't meet until they get married. In this case, the only way out is to prepare your mind for the worst and be ready to cope and not quit. If you don't like and can't handle surprises, don't just get into such relationship in the first place.
