Bros, abeg come borrow me money

Guy: Bros, abeg come borrow me money.

Bros: Borrow you money for what?

Guy: I need to buy a whip....

Bros: Whip?....what is that?

Guy: It's a car. I need a ride.

Bros: So you want to borrow money to buy a car without having any means of repayment. Abi how do you hope to repay me?

Guy: I get work na. I'll pay you from my salaries. You just tell me your terms....

Bros: How much do you earn per annum, and how much is the car you want to buy?

Guy: I earn N1.2m P/A and the car is N2.5m.....It's a Toyota Camry

Bros: I don't care what make it is. Toyota camry ko, Toyota Cadbury ni. I never knew you are this foolish o. So it is true that putting on tie and wearing suit don't influence your intelligence....My God! Have you thought about the additional costs that would come along with the toy you want to buy? Kilode ti eyin omo ode oni ma nse ju ara yin lo naa?
Look here, borrowing should be a means of multiplying a viable project and not for the purchase of luxury. Even if you were to come to me to borrow money for the purpose of business, i'll still ask you the same questions.... in fact more. The reason is because any business which you decide to borrow to fund must have a predictable level of profit that is sufficient enough to cover the repayments/interests of the loan and also to keep your business alive.
A kii fi gbese s'orun s'eso. I don't borrow to appear rich. I spend within my means.

Guy: But Bros, When will i save enough to be able to buy the car without borrowing? All my mates are whipping about?

Bros: They are whiping you say....may God not allow you to WEEP instead. You are not the only one who think in this reckless manner. I see lots of people who borrow to even do parties...
Ti ori e ba pe ni, What you can do is to invest your savings and if properly managed, few years down the line, you'll be able to afford 20 of this car you want to borrow money to buy now.
If you cannot afford a lifestyle now, then don't borrow money to fund it. You'll only end up in shame when creditors start to chase you about.
Don't you know that even immediately you buy this car your living cost will shoot up, making it even harder to survive on your current income? So if not that you are mad, if your brain is working properly...you should know that you should send your money on errand first. O ye ki o koko ran owo e n'ise ni...then by the time it starts to deliver returns you can afford any kind of lifestlye you desire. No wonder the rich are getting rich while poor people like you with this shallow thinking are getting neck-deep into debts, and you end up dying in frustration and poverty.

Mo sorry o, i can't borrow you money.
